Need to write more Hyper Local posts.

We all know that customers mouth are salivating for great local activities and events in their neighborhood. And since Active Rain is the voice of Local events-(Well I am sure some people do),Its good to give them what they want. I got a call today from someone who wanted a number to a TGIF. I paused for a quick minute. Suddenly I remembered that I remembered that I wrote a blog T.G.I.FRIDAYS is coming to 5740 Silver Hill Road District Heights MD 20747 three months ago. YES! Three months ago. It might not have been a local event but at least she found me due to my blog.

Many of us here know that Hyper Local posts can lead to more real estate business. Who doesn't want that? Amy Hahn even wrote a blog that was featured this week Are You Still Doubting the Power of the Hyper-Local Post on how she got business off a blog she wrote two years ago. Here is another one written by Donna Galinsky Hyper-local posts work. A Mini Active Rain Success Story....

Here is another one written by Donna Harris Hyper Local blogging is loved by Google Juice. Those are just some of many Hyper local posts success stories. But it was my phone called today that made me realize that I need to write more Hyper Local posts. So if you don't know what to write,go and write a Hyper local post. You never know. You can be the next one here talking about how your hyper local post brought you a new client. Happy Selling.

Lanre, thanks for the reminder!  I agree with Susan.  Writing hyper local posts is a great way to gain knowledge about local area communities.  I am concentrating my efforts there as we speak!  Thanks for giving me an extra nudge.

Lanre:

I do a lot of localism posts.  I belong to a lot of organization and am on several boards, so there is always plenty for me to write about.  Its the real estate blogs I not so good at.  I have ideas, but someone on AR seems to beat me to the punch and their post are so well written.

I wrote a blog two years ago about the opening of a new recreation center. I got a call today asking me how long is the pool open? That's my AR post.

I completely agree that local posts are vital. In fact that is what most of my blogs are. I love to share the highlights of our region.

I have been telling myself that I need to write more posts... and more hyper-local posts... for months.  The hard part is actually DOING it.  It's hard sometimes to get off dead-center.

Most of my blogs are hyperlocal and I see my content rising in the Google rankings weekly.  It's hard to sustain sometimes as there may not be anything to write about but the more you write, the better.

Lanre, I am so glad that I ran across this post. I get paralysis in what to write a post about. This is a good reminder that we don't need to split the atom here. Just give people simple yet useful information.

Lanre- congratulations on the Feature and for reminding us that writing Local posts is good for all of us ... and that includes the business.  I need to make the time to get out and take some more photos and gather information on some of the local places here.
