How to turn a COMMENT into a POST.
There is nothing better than having examples of how to do things on Active Rain.
I have always believed that every post should have a purpose. I also believe in the value of my message. True, not all of my messages are serious, but, when they are, I will work that post to give it as much attention as possible. I have been doing it for the past 4 days with this post: The Foreclosure and Short Sale Debate.
It received 34 comments before it got FEATURED. I would have continued to work that post exactly the same, whether it got FEATURED or not. I believe in the value of having this topic discussed, and shared with as many members as possible. There have been many excellent comments made by many members.
To increase the number of views and clicks for The Foreclosure and Short Sale Debate, I created new posts from my responses to comments, left by other members. Each of the NEW POSTS linked back to The Foreclosure and Short Sale Debate. That was their purpose.
Teaser Post #1: The Debate Continues...
Teaser Post #2: What is YOUR Opinion...?
Teaser Post #3: Do you have an opinion?
Teaser Post #4: The Debate End Tomorrow...Note: Comments were disabled and members were encouraged to leave a comment on The Foreclosure and Short Sale Debate.
Since I had written long responses to comments, I used them as a NEW POST, which also earned the appropriate points. THIS POST is also an example of a working post, with the hope that a few more members may review the activity that was created by The Foreclosure and Short Sale Debate.
Many members express themselves in great detail, in their comments. Those comments are only seen by a few members. Many comments are better than some posts. I am suggesting that some of your comments, may contain the inspiration for your next post.
