Kissing Camels Colorado Springs Golf Course Community

The one place in Colorado Springs where custom home prices can reach almost $2 Million Dollars ... Kissing Camels. Located in the western part of Colorado Springs, Kissing Camels is a manned and gated community that overlooks Garden of the Gods and offers uncompromising views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains. Nearly every home in Kissing Camels boasts Million Dollar views ...

Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods for Kissing Camels

Kissing Camels is located between Fillmore and Garden of the Gods Road, just off Mesa Drive, on the west side of town.

Why is it called Kissing Camels? Well, the views from this neighborhood are of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. One feature of the Garden of the Gods is a rock formation that looks like 2 camels ... kissing. Thus the name "Kissing Camels".

Just across from the Garden of the Gods Club, is the entry to Kissing Camels. There is a 24-Hour guard manning the gated entrance and they are more than happy to direct you to wherever you need to go within the community. Just inside the gate, you will travel east, down a tree-lined street and through the Kissing Camels Golf Course. This has to be one of the most beautiful golf courses in Colorado - mature trees and breath-taking vews of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak - and eastern city views as well!

Kissing Camels Golf Club

The Kissing Camels Golf Course was built in 1961 and was designed by J. Press Maxwell and Mark Raithert. It is a 27-Hole Regulation PRIVATE Golf Course that is open year round. Tee times are available 3-Days in advance and there is a relatively strict dress code - No denim or spiked shoes and collared shirts are required. However, there IS one area of condos and town homes, in the eastern part of the community that definitely offers the least expensive way to live in Kissing Camels, as these homes are actually priced from the mid $100k's to the mid $200k's!

Marvelous post! Gorgeous scenery!

My former corporation had a couple sales meetings at Cheyenne Mt Resort. On R&R day we took the train up to Pike's Peak. You certainly live in very beautiful country!

Marianna I have never heard of Kissing Camels but after reading this and looking at those gorgeous pictures I think I need to add it to my list of "must see" places!!  Those photos are fantastic.  They look like postcards telling me to hop on a plane and come visit.  LOL

Elaine- I love it here. We do not have much water, but we sure have some amazing scenery!

Dena - You DO know that the "kissing camels" are only visible from certain angles... From other parts of town it looks like a camel kissing a cow.

Candy- Thank you. This neighborhood is EVERYTHING gorgeous about Colorado Springs.

Kimberly- THANKS! It is hard to NOT take great pictures of this beautiful area.
