pay it forwardPay it Forward - Veggie Pizza and Brownies

Real estate in Denver has been very busy this summer.  Our office at Metro Brokers Marina Square has about 116 agents and we are all very busy dealing with clients.  No one seems to have time for much of anything else these days.

It has been a stressful week for me as well.  When I get stressed, I back away from the computer and cook.  Since I grew up in my parents family restaurant, I know a thing or two about cooking.

Thursday was no exception to the rule.  My blood pressure was high and my stress level was over the top.  My business partner, Belinda, told me I needed to take a chill pill.  Well, I knew I couldn't start with cocktails first thing in the morning and I didn't have any chill pills, so I went to my kitchen and started cooking.

I made two veggie pizzas and a pan of brownies for my office.  I got there just before lunchtime and the gals at the front desk were amazed.  They were trying to figure out what to have for lunch and I solved their problem.

I went in to the kitchen to take some pictures of the food, but by the time I got there about 15 minutes after the food was set out, it looked like vultures had devoured the food.

I did manage to get a slice of the pizza and a brownie for Belinda, thankfully.  She would not have been happy if she was left out of the equation.

Here is a picture from my phone of the remains.

I will blog the recipe for the veggie pizzas - but not the brownies!

I think by alleviating some of your stress, you also brightened the day of some of your staff!

Ha!  Food doesn't last long around our office either.  I wish I had some veggie pizza and a brownie right about now.  YUM!

What a wonderful way to relieve stress plus touch others with your gift of goodies.  You should think of something fresh and easy that you could bring to your top referrers or your "think they could be top referrers" clients for July 4th!

Awesome!  Cooking makes me feel better also - and I really like the way you eliminated the brownie calories by using vegetables.  They sort of balance the equation!

Hi Will, your veggie pizza....what was left of it looked delicious and I have heard about your famous brownies.  What a nice thing to do for the office as well as for yourself.  Hopefully it helped you to feel better.

There is a significant demand throughout the world for chill pills, so whomever finally develops the recipe will become the richest person in the world!

ROTFL. Chill pills. I do all the driving in my family, and since I grew up in Texas with Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, 446’s, Novas, Corvettes, and the like, I don’t like being behind the Sunday driver doing 45 mph in the fast lane on Wednesday afternoon! My other half is always going “oooooooooooh no!” I just tell him to take a chill pill.

I love to cook and it really does relieve stress- I know a lot of people who don't believe me but now I know that you do that too, Will.

Chill pills aren't all they are cracked up to be. The cocktails work though but not in the a.m. :)

I did the same this week with a homemade blueberry poundcake. It was a huge hit at the office. Cooking for me is often times theraputic and I don't necessarily want to eat all the food I cook so like you, I share it!
