League City Under Mandatory Water Rationing

It has been dry!  Can anyone remember the last time we've had rain?  In addition to the drought that we are now experiencing, there have been some issues with a major water pipeline that brings water provided by the City of Houston to League City.  Repairs have been completed on the pipeline, but the drought has caused a severe shortage.

The City of League City has placed mandatory rationing on the residents.  Homes with odd numbered addresses can water on Monday and Wednesday between 8pm and 5am.  Even numbered homes are approved to water on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the same hours.

Please link to the City of League City's  website post for complete information about the rationing.  Keep in mind, that a violation of the rationing rules could result in a fine of $500!  At that cost, it's much more affordable to replace a few shrubs.

Water rationing is not any fun at all but sometimes totally necessary.  Hope this time passes soon.

Wow - there seems to be so much flooding close to you and then you have rationing.  So sorry.

Yes, our drought is becoming serious.  We had a nice rain a couple of weeks ago that saved some of the vegetation, but we need more, and SOON!

Thanks for your comments!
