What makes a special Fathers day for me? Being with my wife and kids. See if you are a Father you get it. We work all week for it, we would give our life for it, we would not sell it or walk away from it. Our family. No price tag can be put on spending the day with your wife and kids. My four year old son told his teacher, in front of us in line in Walmart yesterday, "thanks for letting me not come to school this summer". Then he told her he "loved her and liked her flip flops". My one daughter gave me a home made card. Three of my kids, they are not all home today, started my morning with a big hug. Priceless. The list goes on. My wife, the most wonderful and thoughtful woman in the world has made plans for tomorrow. She made me a special dinner last night. Let me sleep in today. List goes on. I am so blessed and appreciative for what I have been given. Do I stop and think about it everyday. No. Should I? Yes. But Fathers day to me is a day where I do step back, watch my family, and give thanks. As bumpy, crooked and uphill the road sometimes is, I would not trade who I am traveling it with for all the money in the world. Thank you Gloria and kids for making me feel like the most special man alive. So if you Father or Husband answers you with "nothing" when you ask him what he wants for Fathers day, what he is saying is, "I have all I need and want just being with and being loved by you".
