Remembering Dad - Bill Rachielles
On Father's Day, I'm in the wonderful position of being one, and having amazing memories of my Dad and wanting to wish my friends and family ALL a.....
Happy
Father's Day
Whether you are a Dad or a Mom, at one time we were or are now all sons or daughters. I hope you have such wonderful memories of your parents as I have and can celebrate those with your Dad. Maybe today is the day to remember and honor the memories of our Dads as I am doing. If you don't have such memories, maybe today would be a good day just to do something good for others in the spirit of Father's Day.
As a Dad my son has blessed me with decades of experiences that have given me happiness, wonder, thankfulness, amazement, pride, fulfillment and mostly love.... and I'm sure more that I just can't organize into words right now. All those things that make fatherhood so wonderful. And he has increased my blessing by bringing us a daughter-in-law... and my fatherly role has grown and is shared with Great in-laws. Thank you Brian.
My DAD..... Bill Rachielles
It's tough to write of my dad without using the superlatives that are so appropriate given his incredible life of giving as a pharmacist in a small community. Dad passed away close to this date years ago, but for several reasons, Father's Day will always mark the date that I will honor him...
The community knew him for his kindness, compassion, humor... as the pharmacist on the east side of town ... as a die hard Cubs fan willing to take the flack and insist that next year was the year. They new him as a family man always supporting his kids - basketball games... events... which was tough for a pharmacist with his own store. While he attended church, his faith and religion were more tied to his strong belief in doing good works for others (while hidden from the public and even his children until after his death). Father's Day was Special to My Dad.
Father's Day IS SPECIAL TO this Dad too.
