I realize Flight 1549 which landed in the Hudson River is "old news" now. Yet the memory of that day, especially for those who were on the plane, shall forever live in the hearts and minds of so many.
Today is Father's Day.
I wonder how many lives and families are blessed with the celebration of this day because Captain Sullenberger took control of the plane following a critical situation that arose when a flock of birds caused both engines to fail?
Miraculous?
I think so.
Life is so precious. We tend to forget that life can be taken from us in an instant.
To all the Father's and the sons and daughters that make them Fathers .... Happy Father's Day!
To my own Father, who died 12 years ago at the age of 92 ...
I still love you Dad - Happy Father's Day to you and all the Fathers in Heaven with you.
Happy Father's Day to my brother-in-law Keith and his son, Michael.
We all miss you so much. Your legend and your love lives on within us.
