I remember joining Active Rain during 4th of July weekend and I remember telling myself if I would ever reach 10,000 points or even learn what the word blog means and if I would ever blog myself. This is an absolute great online real estate professional group of individuals that I want to be a part of for many years down the road.
Recruiting new members is definitely a big positive and we should all try to invite as many Real Estate Pros as we can because I am sure you have heard of that old saying: "2 heads are better than 1" well guess what? "10,000+ heads is better than 1 too".
Colleen: How are you hun? Thanks for your call the other day. It means a lot that you were worried and wondering where I was. There is no secret really but I basically tell everyone about Active Rain that has anything to do with the real estate field. I basically advertise Active Rain on my social websites like Myspace where realtors and real estate pros are turning to because it is a trend that we all started 3-4 years ago. I basically just post join the best online real estate community for networking with my referral link. That's it, simple. Trust me it is simple but sometimes there is drama around it as well. I had these two individuals (won't mention any names) from Vegas and Virginia who thought I was spamming people and actually contacted Active Rain Staff and complained about me. But I told Active Rain the truth and they believed me over them. These two individual were using profanity and dirty words and really harrassing me on myspace. Maybe they are on active rain too and were jealous that I was a veteran and more popular or had more points than them. Almost all of you here that know me, know that I am harmless and I mean well. I would never harm or tryt o break any rules or make anyone feel uncomfortable. I actually stopped helping with recruiting since those two persons complained because I just didn't want to be looked at as a bad member by trying to add and do good for the community. I am sure Matt and Active Rain probably want me to keep recruiting but I lost the drive I had since the incident 2-3 weeks ago.
Good work guys...shows that sharing is great. I've tried inviting several others however, I got only one response. The others said that they would try but have not done so.
