Milestone Reached - 400,000 Points!!
Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there!! My milestone, although no ea
sy feat, is nothing compared to that of being a Father.
In November 2006 I joined Active|Rain after being invited by James Brennan. At first I had a hard time figuring out what the point of Active|Rain was, I logged in and read blogs from other members, then I started commenting on posts and ultimately blogging myself.
Now, 1,180 blogs and 4,387 comments left later I have passed the 400,000 points level. My next hurdle is 500,000 points.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me grow as an agent and as a person. Thanks to all the friends I've made along the way. Special thanks to Margaret Rome for her inspiration and challenges, thanks to Michael Thornton for his help and encouragement along the way, thanks to Gary White for his inspiration and friendship, and special thanks to all who have read my blog and commented and all those who have befriended me along my journey - Thank You!!
For those just starting out, definitely go to Rain Camp. It is full of ideas for blogs, ways to improve your blogging and things to do not just to improve your online presence but also to grow your business. Localism is another great source for blogs - write about things going on in your community, local restaurants, local businesses, places you go, people you see. Look outside your window. Speechless Sunday, Wordless Wednesday and Friday's Foto are also great ways to blog.
Now, on to the next 100,000 to my 500,000 point goal.
