How Many Times Do You See The 'F' Letter?

Wow was I wrong! just goes to show you need to pay attention!

I got six the first time through, but see how it could be very easy to skip over one of the 'ofs'.

I git 5 the first time and 6 the second and 7 the third. Yikes!!

OK....I must be tired. I need to go back and re-read this. Are you trying to trip me up??

I see six also.  Are their more.  Did I miss any?

I count 6 not including the queation and the preface, have a Pfanntastic Week....

I counted 4. Read the comments, counted again and got 4. Reread the comments, slowly counted and OF course the "of" words have an "F" in them. final answer seven! I may not be paying attention, but I'm persistent.  :)

I just knew the OF's were going to be the bugger in this puzzle...got em...have a great week !

I still only get 6 in the Four lines.  What am I missing?  If you count the F at the bottom it would be 7, but then I wouldn't be following directions.

I saw Four on my First time through. My second time through I said each letter out loud instead oF the words and Found all 6!

I too found four the first time through and then read it backwards and found six.  Great way to catch things is reading it backwards.  Did I catch them all ?

This exercise actually works better if you don’t use all capital letters. That’s because the human mind and eye have been taught to read word forms, so it’s much easier to skip over words that have letters that sound like something else. When you use all capital letters, you have to slow down because all-caps is not what the eye and mind are used to reading, and when you slow down, you can do much better on these kind of tests.

The original “Of quiz” that came out at least as early as 1976 when I first saw it had a much longer sentence with many more f’s both in words, like efficiency, and including lots of of’s. The final answer for those reading and listening to sounds was something like 20, and for those who counted f’s was something like 30. It was inevitable that even when you knew about the of’s, you’d still miss one or two.

I only saw four the first time, was scanning fast.  I did not count the of's, sometimes we miss the small details and we should not.
