I took off for Seattle this afternoon from Portland for my two days at RainCamp. Not only do I have Raincamp to look forward to, but I also got to meet my sister who lives about 30 minutes south of Seattle for dinner.

As I tend to do things, she didn't know I was heading up this way until this morning..so I'm glad she was in town! So we enjoyed some sis chat at her fave Hawaiian place, then on my merry way I went to head to the Marriott Riverfront hotel to check in.

Here is where I was able to reap some of the benefits of my hubby's platinum status. Not only did I get this primo room with waterfront view..a quick hop to the RainCamp venue, but they delivered a complimentary bottle of Merlot with some cheese, crackers and nuts. Damn this is starting to be a little mini me vacation...and I gotta say, I'm kinda liking Wine and Cheese it!..ok..LOVING it!

The only downside is that I need to limit myself to one small glass of wine as I now need to hit the hay (in that huge king bed I have all to myself..ah yeah!) if I'm going to be all wide eyed and ready to check in at the wee...WEE hour of 8AM. Ok..last sip so now better get going.

I Look forward to meeting lots of my fellow rainers!

Hi Mary, I had such a great time those first two days. It was nice to get away and learn some stuff..and see some faces of those popular bloggers. I have some pics that I'll post today from the first day. Unfortunately, my body decided to come down with a cold...a mean trick on the first day of summer..so much to my disappointment, I missed day 2 of raincamp.

Hi Frank & Karen, Gotta love those perks! Especially since I don't travel all the time they're new for me. I'm sure even though they're good to have, my hubby is so used to them that they don't have that fun feel any longer..and there is that work thing while he's away..LOL.
