Construction on Lakeside High School has been going full speed this summer as the campus is getting a complete facelift.
From the LHS website:
"Over the next twenty-two months Lakeside will be getting 25 new classrooms and a 600 seat fine arts auditorium. Other renovations will include new locker rooms, technology classrooms, new technology, a patio for student lunches, an expanded kitchen and many other enhancements to our building. It is the goal of The Valhalla Project to also add items such as a turf athletic field, lighting for all fields, a concession stand, a covered multi-sport court and many other items that were not included in the taxpayer funded SPLOST project. Some of these improvements will be completed as early as August 2011. The entire project should be complete by August 2012."
LHS Construction Update
The Lakeside campus will be closed from May 26th to at least July 18 for building renovations.
Lakeside's office will move to Sagamore Hills Elementary during this time.
