My wife says stay home. My kids say stay home. My dog says stay home. I guess that means I should stay home. The funny thing is that I love working. not every second of every day. I just love coming to work. I also love when I lock up the office every day and head home. I think that is the best way to live. I am happy on the way to work and happy on the way home. I sure feel sorry for those people who hate their jobs.

Thank you Real Estate Market and thanks to my wife and family. I really think I am having fun!Friday Burger and Beer Bash

I say STAY HOME. You need the balance of work and family or you lose out on one or the other! Family is important. I love work too. So much I have been working all week with an out of town buyer from 9-8 PM non stop Monday till today! I HAVE to do this, this week..but will make it up to the family next week. I WILL MAKE IT UP TOO!! Do not want them to feel neglected or that MY JOB comes before them. I love them BOTH!!

I vote for staying home-your family will appreciate that you'd rather hang with them than work on your birthday.  And have a happy one!

I love that you love your work...which further allows you to be a better husband, father and friend; or maybe being a great husband, father and friend helps you keep it all balanced and love your work?  Either way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  I say...STAY HOME and kiss the wife, hug the kids and pet the dog.  (The work can wait)

Goodness!  After I posted that, it felt weird...since I am at work, lol.  But, it's not my birthday and my husband is playing golf, the kids are asleep, and the dog...well, is probably on the top of the playcenter keeping an eye on the neighborhood traffic.

I tend to be a workaholic and have missed out on many opportunities to be with my family.  With my family grown I look back an wonder if I had the chance would I do it again, I don't know the answer because like you I love working.  The difference today is "cell phones", so I would say to you, enjoy your family and keep the phone on.

Happy birthday Wayne Miller. Hope your went as well as mine. I did take the day off. We all went to the beach at Sandy Hook. Just across the bay from New York City. Perfect day for that. We also saw all those crazy people surfing using kites. My daughter says I would need a big kite!  I will sneak away for an hour now to fax a listing agreement and an offer.
