Thanks to the wonderful ActiveRain Daily Drop this morning, I have been receiving loads of emails and comments saying, "Kelly, nudge nudge, it's time for you to blog more."
I go through the challenge that I know so many of our members face as well. How the heck do I find time to blog?
It's been one of my goals since attending RainCamp in Atlantic City. I even set a weekly iCal reminder to try to kick my butt into gear. To my credit, I've gotten two blogs posted since then (this counts as three) but I'm nowhere near where I'm wanting to be at.
I figured out what I needed - a little encouragement from the community.
Yes, the comments on individual blogs are so wonderful. But today I got personal emails. People are now keeping tabs on me and I can't let them down. So, yes the Daily Drop Member Spotlight was just the thing I needed.
With that, does anybody have any good tips on creating the habit and getting more consistent? I could use the help.

Start with a community or subdivision you want more business in. Blog about news from a local paper particular to that area. Make sure your blog is public. :)
Kelly - we are all here to encourage you to post - we want to know what's on your mind! Hope your well and I'll be checking in to see your future posts!
Kelly, blog about something you believe in and not just advertisements or self promotion. If you want to engage the community, you need to be interesting, not saying you are not interesting already.
Kelly, just be yourself and make it a habit to blog daily. Before you know it the ideas will flow and blogging become part of your daily routine.
Kelly ~ Take it from Craig, just be yourself ~ but don't be yourself like Craig is himself ~
So what kind of glue do you use to keep ActiveRain together?
Corinne: Love the idea of blogging about things in the local paper.
Kristine: Thanks for the encouragement!
Charles: Now the pressure's on to be interesting!
Craig: Daily huh? Maybe I can carve out time each night for 20 minutes. I could do that.
Frank/Karen: Haha! As far as glue, I use Elmer's. Good and strong, but easy for kids to use ;)
Hi Kelly ...tell us about the Seattle Area...
Things to see , things to do ... restaurant reviews , night life ...Oh the inside scoop on ActiveRain
I bet you if you post everyday for 30 days.... Craig will feature you in a post. You might even be so lucky to wear the Craig Rutman Lucky Sweater :0) That should be enough right there to motivate you.....
@Amy... Ha! Ha! Ha! But Kelly, Amy's right! Blog daily and you just might get featured wearing the Craig Rutman Lucky Sweater in one of my "Who Is The Most Awesome Person of the Day" posts!
On a separate note, I have a picture of you and Kerrie at tonight's AR Birthday Party all ready to post! (It's amazing how I already have pictures of something that hasn't even happened yet or that, sadly, I won't be attending!!!)
Kerrie gve me permission. I'll send it to you for yours...
You definitely need to post more frequently! After seeing you at RainCamp, I need to see more of you... even if it is only online!!!
Sometimes you just need a little kick to get you going and/or to keep you moving forward. Looking forward to the posts.
Hi Kelly! Okay, I popped over to see what you were working on...to post more!!
You know, I had a thought--every time you respond to a member with a question or a problem via email, make that email a post. Just fluff it up a bit and add a little graphic and VOILA! You've got ready-made material at your fingertips every day, it's just getting it over into your AR blog! Not only will it help you to blog more but, you'll be giving great information to the community that may save a 'service' call or two with each one! LOL
Hope you're doing well! I wish we had RainCamp every month (and I could go, of course) so I could see you guys more often--you're a fantastic group and what a fun job you have!
These comments are inspiring to a brand new blogger! Debe--you gave some great advice. I just emailed your comment to myself, so I'd be sure and remember it!
