Fireworks shows in 2011

New Port Richey - KiaFest Main Street Blast (see post) runs from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at Sims Park. The event includes live music, as well as all kinds of food, beer, crafts and river boat tours. Fireworks are planned for dusk on Saturday, weather permitting.

The musical acts are:
Jimmy James and That '70s Band
Bon Jovi tribute band Slippery When Wet
Allman Brothers tribute band Midnight Rider
'60s Groove
Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band Second Helping.

Sparklebration will be on July 4 at the Pasco County Fairgrounds in Dade City. Starting at 4 p.m., with food sales, eating contests, pony rides, face painting, a balloon artist, Elvis tribute artist Billy Lindsey and more.Fireworks will be at dusk. Admission is $5 for adults, plus $5 for parking; kids 12 and younger are free. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. No alcohol, coolers, pets or personal fireworks allowed. Port Richey- July 4, there will be a free fireworks show beginning at 9:15 p.m. at Waterfront Park, 8119 Old Post Road. No alcoholic beverages or personal fireworks allowed. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. For details, call City Hall at (727) 816-1900.

Last year the cannon crew of my Reenacting Group shot off our cannons along with our Town's 4th of July Fireworks Display.

Toni, lots of fun events going on in Port Richey. We have a dualing firworks display going on here between The Bridge Street Town Centre and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center...they are pretty much across from each other so it should be impressive.

Nick - that sounds wonderful. We used to have a place on the east coast on the water; we could sit on the dock and watch fireworks north and south of us--it was really fun.
