On Tuesdays, Realtors around the Washington DC area have their broker tour of new listings that have come on the market.   And it's really a fun time to see some amazing places.  And every week, one house seems to really wow me.

This week's Wow House is a Coldwell Banker listing at  5208 Carlton Street, in Bethesda.

Monday, blog buddy James Downing sent me an email inviting me to drop by this new listing of his,  so I did.  And at the front door, I was greeted, not by James who is on yet another vacation, but his very hard working partner, Christopher Suranna.

It's a craftsman house built in 2008. and it was inspired by architects Charles and Henry Greene.  There is even a coffee table book in the living room all about their work in the craftsman style.

As soon as I saw the detail of the wooden staircase, I was impresses.

This house is huge inside.  There is a kitchen with acres of counter space that could turn even me into a serious cook.  And off the kitchen, there is a large screened in porch for fun warm weather dining, and it leads to a beautifully landscaped rear yard with a built-in grill.

The house has 6 bedrooms, 5 1/s baths, and a special room for your dogs so they won't chew your when you are out.

This property is priced at $1,975,000, and if you'd like to take a look, I'd be happy to show it to you.

And James, can't wait for you to come back so you can show off the great tan you got while Christopher was working so hard!

And wow it is Pat! Love the kitchen and open concept - nothing like being able to cook and be with your guests while you entertain. Definitely a real gem - best of luck on the listing; I sure it won't last long!

Kristine, it is an amazing party house, between the huge open kitchen and the screened in porch.

Janice and Gabe, if you can think of anyone, I'll send you a huge referral!

Jay, this looks like one of those places that even you might have a hard time finding something wrong with!    NAAAAAH!

Sharon, and it beat out a place priced at $7.5 million for my Tuesday Wow House Award.  I think I'll do this every week.

And Kerrie!  Yeah!  You're back!  We missed you bunches!  The whole place just fell apart.  Well, not really, but we missed you bunches anyway!

Hi Pat, I love all the wood features in your WOW house this week. James and Christopher has a nice listing, and it is sure to get a lot of showings, and hopefully a quick sale too.

That street brings back memories. I lived on Carlton Ln. for the first seven years of my life and used to ride a bike (without a helmet) on that street. I don;t think this house was on that lot then.

Very nice.  They have built some nice, newer homes in Bethesda over the last several years.  I love the curb appeal on this one.

and yes Pat, my tan is nearly perfect.  I did work on all the marketing from my balcony over-looking the Caribbean Sea; just to be clear.
