Managing Real Estate Broker with Helen Adams Realty

I moved to charlotte North Carolina, thinking that I would neve work again, as I was

in my let fifties, and had a "high powered" job in Manhattan, and here I am, a

Real Estate Broker .... working in a hard economy selling houses, foreclosures , etc.

Life does throw "curves".. but the nice part is, Ilove working with people and helping

them start their new lives.. Anyone else out there that had to or wanted to start

let in the business.. "AJ"

Hi Audrey,

We were aggressive real estate investors, set to retire in 2008.

Here it is 2011, we are working 12 hour days and I am now 60. Net worth is less than zero!

Reminds me of the verse in James 4, 13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

It hasn't turned out how we expected, but life is still good, we are still together and God is still in heaven!

You come in with nothing, go out the same way because everything has to be left behind. If you are grateful you are rich. Getting through life easy, not getting shook up and having a little fun, sharing and caring with a family you pass along some wisdom is important. The same pearls of wisdom you were taught.
