Going on a photography shoot to create book covers for the Kindle Singles
The cool thing about having writing mentors is the fact that if you obsess over your writing enough your friends will start writing too.
We're in call conference right now and I have to go on a photography shoot to create book covers for Kindle Singles. There are six of us writing in this little quirky club of ours. We might be getting a seventh member. I was chatting with her in Facebook almost to midnight and she likes the lifestyle so she wants to try it. That would be very cool because she travels a lot and has amazing pictures (I really do need to get a passport - sigh).
I also have to go to a writers workshop in Manhattan. Everyone there will read everyone else's work and give feedback. My mentors say this is a good thing and believe I need to be read by strangers who have no idea who I am.
They are unleashing me on the unsuspecting (LMAO). I should get a pen name... Wont that alias be fun. Will I be a virtual guy or virtual girl? Hmm... Someone told me Ann Rice was a guy (she is not by the way - LOL). Blew me away because I've been reading "her" for years. He can be a she if he wants too. Everyone can be anything they like. That's the fun of America. We're all free to reinvent ourselves in really creative, interesting ways.
Maybe I should just stick to being me. I'm already quirky and occasionally interesting (said the three year old pretending to be an adult who keeps playing with her crayons in the Kim-Stream - LOL).
P.S. don't forget to visit our Facebook band page and hang out with us. We're planning to have little adventures over there. Working on the soundtrack for an indie film. Very cool. ;-)
