"Be not merely good - be good for something." (Henry David Thoreau) is something my Facebook peep said this morning that got her inspired to do something good today... It perked me up too. I have little people to babysit later so my girlfriend can rest and read. I know what that's like when you have little kids and people don't understand that being sleep deprived makes you cranky, crazy and prone to not suffering fools lightly (LOL). I remember my girlfriend Stacy used to come over when Noah was a newborn feeding like crazy and watch him so I could sleep beyond three hours (LOL).

The gift of being pampered back into your relative sanity can be a gift more precious than gold. We all crave the security of being loved, appreciated and pampered. ;-) Giving a mommy a quiet moment is my good deed for the day. I'm off to entertain her gorgeous little minions, then I have my workshop to suffer through... It appears that I'm not allowed to spoof on it. My mentors want me to take these people very seriously... Oh the horror of it all! Me being serious about me? (Yeah... right... Give me another missive, puh-lease - LOL).

However, I will somewhat behave because my writing mentors do read my blog between all those chapters I've been sending them and I have reasonable cause to believe there will be spies there (LOL). It's an inner circle how-did-my-wayward-scribe-do? thing (Yeah, they read TLW too and know that I am her "wayward child" - LMAO). When we do well people claim us scribes. When we crash and burn people run and hide. How fickle is that? Very. So I will behave while in public at my workshops (LOL). ;-)

Great quote by Henry, Carolyn. Giving mothers a rest is an excellent way to contribute to society.
