The 88th Annual Laconia NH Bike week wrapped up last Sunday and the wrap up is in. The residents of the Lake Region take their towns back but only for 1 week and the Summer vacation season kicks off with July 4th week bringing hundreds of thousane new tourists into to the state. While rainy weather slowed everyone done the first weekend the gorgeous weather the second half of the week and 2nd weekend sure made up for it.
As the Rally expands from Laconia, communities all accross the Lakes Region to the Seacoast and up to the Mountains benefitted with increased tourists. While the final numbers are not in, the year usually averages 400,000 visitors.
This year i got enjoy some of the favorites, The hillclimb, a motorcycle show, headed over to the drive in to check out the bands and enjoyed a stop at Laconia Harley formally known as Meredith Harley as well. The best part of the week was the least expensive, that is sitting on a fence watching the non stop parade of bikers.
See you all next year.

Good morning Scott.
That will be a great way to spend the day...
I would like to take some photos...
Looks like a great event.
Have an outstanding week.
Life is better when there are flowers to photograph!
Roy you always have the best photos. Life sure is better when there are flowers.
And it rained again this year, (for a change!)..these bikers endure though and have a great time.
I think for 5 of the last 7 years we have had rain, i have had about enough of this weather pattern, please bring on the sunshine and warmth... im ready for the real summer to stand up
That motorcycle week looks like tons of fun! We have the Langley Cruise-In in early Sept, which usually has motorcycle as well as auto enthusiasts arriving from all over North America. It's quite a time!
Sounds like a great time Karen and well worth a road trip. Bike week was quite fun except when i had to traverse the crowd for various appointments which can take some time.
