How do you storyboard a smile?

Advertising is simply a process of presenting a product to a potential consumer in a way that creates desire.

Why then would you skimp on your ad budget?  Why would you settle for low quality production or cut corners by doing it yourself? 

Can a blurry photo in a newspaper explain to a potential buyer how the kitchen feels as sun light streaming in and warms your back?

As the real estate market slows in many markets across the country, that could translate to fewer real estate sales and smaller ad budgets for agents. 

Has anyone had an experience with low quality or "free" advertising?  Did you feel it hurt more than helped?

Or do you offer value added services like free web videos of your property listings?  Or TV commercials custom designed for each of your listings?
