The Book of Questions

Here's a great book that will help you learn about yourself and others.  Great material for an office meeting!

THE BOOK OF QUESTIONS asks 265 questions which will enable you to explore your fundamental values and beliefs.  Some of them explore "value-tested hypothetical situations."

To understand what this book is all about, lets try QUESTION #72:

If you could have free, unlimited service for five years from an extremely good cook, chauffeur, housekeeper, masseuse, or personal secretary, which would you choose?

or how about Question #41:  Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire; after saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item.  What would it be?

Head on over to Amazon - for $6.95 it is well worth it!

hmmmm....#1 is a toss up between an extremely good cook and a housekeeper.  I think the good cook would be the winner, since I can get my 3 children to do a lot of the housework!  LOL

#2 would probably be my laptop since I have a lot of personal photos on there.  I keep my regular style photos in a firebox already so hopefully they would survive.

 Fun Blog for a Friday!

Okay, I think I would take the Houskeeper.  I just am not home long enough to take care of anything there.

I think the one item would be a difficult one to choose so I might just throw out the window as much as I could and get burnt in the process.  Making that decision is too tough.

Linda, you state in the post that you feel this is great material for an office meeting.  Do you think that this material also adapts itself to the mortgage industry as well?

You bet George!   There are all sorts of interesting questions...how about "Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 5 years to become extremely attractive?"   Of course, you are already adorable so that one is probably a no for you!

LOL @ George

Linda this is my cup of tea, thanks for pointing it out I will definitely order it. As for the questions you posted, the right choice for me would be the personal secretary; I hope I would not be tempted to pick the chef.

I would agree about the baseball Brian if it were signed by the 1950 Pittsburgh Pirates - Bill Mazeroski, et al.

#1 - Housekeeper - I have a 10 month old... she is only going to get bigger and messier.

#2 - If I had time to save the loved ones and pets, it is a slow burning fire.  Oh, do fish count as pets.  I have 2 90 gallon tanks.  If they count, then I would have my wife move everything out while I caught them. LOL

Anyways, I would run back in to get the photo albums/cds.

Sounds like a great book.  I'll have to check it out.  I could dream about having personal services for a year.  That alone would be worth $6.95.  "James, bring the car around!"

Sounds like an interesting and worthwhile book.  I'll add it to my Amazon.com wishlist.  I think if I had to answer question #72, I'd probably pick the personal secretary.

I would definitely snag the personal secretary and boy would I make those 5 years count!  The first thing that I would do is let him/her pick out the decor for their room in my home, then I would enroll him/her in a massage therapy class - just in case.

Question #2 is much more difficult.  More than anything, I pray that I would have the presence of mind to just make rational decisions, but I think that I would make sure that I had my laptop because it would be much more difficult to get right back to work without it and I would definitely want to get right to work so as not to dwell on the losses.
