5 Comments on Alert! Massachusetts Highways are Jammed with Summer Travelers
Kathryn: Leaving for Cape Cod July 22nd! Already planned my trip and this year it means NO DRIVING! Gonna take the fast ferry to P'town, ride my bike and avoid the summer traffic on the Cape.
Kathryn,
I went to Massachusetts several years ago during the fall and fell in love with the Cape. I had always wanted to go. I had heard about the awful jams in the summer so planned a late September vacation and it was wonderful. Glad to hear people are spending money!
Hi Kathryn - The Sturbridge exit is usuallyy the worst offender.
Gwynn: Cape Cod - welcome to Massachusetts. The Cape has such beautiful bike trails. I love your idea of commuting by bicycle. Have a great trip!
Yolanda: You are right - fall is a fantastic time to visit Cape Cod. I hope you have the opportunity to return soon.
Conrad: That is the truth! The traffic coming up from NYC can get brutal.
Kathryn, traffic in the summer cannot be fun! They still have toll booths? We have a toll road out East of Denver, and they have transponders that we put on our windshield, and they have eliminated all the booths, making travel much faster!
