A lot of my buyers do not like fireplaces anymore. Also who in the world likes totally paved yards.
people still like pools in Phoenix. It is 110 here today. Fireplaces, not so much. Scottsdale AZ homes for sale
An interesting post that I enjoyed reading! Thank you for sharing it!
Michael, I'm with you on 4 out of 5. The marsh view means more mosquitos and bugs. Golf view means lack of privacy and being pegged off the head with golf balls while relaxing in your pool. Garden tub? Who has time to take a bath? More square footage means more house to clean - not a fun task. The pool however, is a MUST have, in my opinion....
Hi Michael, Some on your list ( View, tub, pool ) are still quite popular here on Fort Myers Beach. I'm sure it is a regional thing.
Bruce - fireplaces are becoming less popular around Charleston as well.
Patrick - people still like pools around here for the most part, but the pool alone is not adding value the way it use too.
Kim - lol. You made me laugh with your comments.
Bill - a view is still a premium in the Charleston area but many people are becoming less likely to pay a premium for the hassels of am "only Marsh view" or golf course view. You are right when you say it is a regional thing.
You are so, so right...or how about those sellers who hired a decorator in the 80s and still LOVE, LOVE their decor...LOL
To each their own Susan....to each their own!
In the area where I specialize, there are three golf courses. Those condos with a view of those golf courses command higher prices, and there are people fighting for those condos, even in this bad economy of the last five years. I do think the golf course view is much better than the view of the building next door, especially if the view is directly into another condo's kitchen or bedroom.
