Show your Rainbow Colors in NYC this Weekend at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village.

Now we have a double reason to celebrate this weekend!  This is truly a milestone for human rights.

I am so glad that state passed the law for same sex marriage in its final hour.  People should be able to get married if they wish to do so, and live the way they choose with all the same rights as everybody else.

This Marriage Equality Act is a welcome addition to the evolution of modern civilization.

You can celebrate at the Stonewall Inn at 53 Christopher St. in the heart of the W. Village in NYC; a popular gay and lesbian bar of the time that became the epicenter for violent protests against the unlawful treatment that gays and lesbians suffered at the hands of the New York City police department.

A Greenwich Village apartment will set you back $2296 for a studio; $3448 for a one bedroom; $4496 for a two bedroom; and $6150 for a three bedroom.

I think CA is next. This is a positive step and maybe now we can move forward and concentrate of other things. It seems like religion and abortion issues are always on the plate so I doubt if it will ever change but we can hope.

Hi Jennifer - lucky girl, living and working in Manhattan - one of our favorite places to visit! We've been a bit more progressive in Canada - I think we were about the 3rd or 4th country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage - and it was a positive step for the economy, as well as basic human rights.

Jennifer, I also applaud the bravery of those in your New York State Legislature who showed true courage in the face of heavy lobbying by the New York Catholic Church, and the Catholic Conference of Bishops against this bill.

Fairness and equality has finally triumphed !  Many more steps to be taken, though.

I invite you to take a look at two blog posts I wrote on the Marriage Equality Vote: New York State Passes Law for Marriage Equality and one I wrote this morning... Marriage Equality... a New York State Senator Tells Why He Changed His Vote.  If you would rather not have these links here... please feel free to delete this comment.

Have a great weekend.
