Summer Display at Brookside: Summer of Food

The North House of the Conservatory will display edible sub-tropical fruit plants from Central and South America and large parts of Asia and the South House will features many edible ornamentals such as herbs, hot peppers and more.

Creative Expressions Art Camps at the Brentwood Arts Exchange
Time:  9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Cost:  $120 (bi-county residents) / $145 (non-residents)

Discover a world where your child or teen can create fun art projects that expand their imagination, express their creativity and sharpen their learning skills. Each one-week camp will pursue a variety of artistic media integrated with such themes as fantasy, animals, nature and adventure. New projects are offered each session, so come for one week or the whole summer! A visit to a swimming pool and a punch and cookies reception and exhibition round out each exciting week.

Astronomy, Math and Art Clubs
Time:  9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Cost:  FREE Event

The Astronomy, Math and Art Club is week long adventure providing kids with fun, hands-on experimenting and learning activities throughout the week. In Astronomy, kids will explore the Solar System, do experiments about comets and asteroids and compare the earth to the other planets. In Math, kids will make and use a Japanese Soroban abacus, examine number patterns, solve math riddles and puzzles and play math games. In Art, kids will create art projects while experimenting with art principles and various media.
