Today is an absolutley gorgeous day in Hendersonville NC. Temps this morning are hovering in the high 60's and, in my yard anyway, the birds are having a hay day at the feeders. It is sunny and dry and a great way to start a Sunday.

If you are looking for things to do here is a good list for today:

Open Homes will be available today all over Henderson County. Here is the Times News online list of Open Homes.

The Flatrock Playhouse is presenting Music on The Rock Concerts, and today features The Music of Motown. You can call 828-693-0731 or 1-866-732-8008 for times on this event.

RhododendronWith this being such a nice day, you may feel like a drive. Right now the Rhododendron have peaked and this may be the last weekend to see a great show of flowers. You may be interested in taking a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Starting at the Highway 191 entrance you can go South and Visit the Pisgah Inn and Restauraunt. Here you will find great views and great food. Or you can go North and visit the Folk Art Museum. This houses some of the best local artwork under one roof. Both are a good choice and just a 20 minute drive, either way (unless of course you stop to smell the Rhododendrons! And you WILL.)

Of course sitting in your own yard and smelling the fresh mountain air, and sipping your favorite coffee may be the choice. Whatever you do, this will be a great day in Hendersonville NC.
