THE BAT:
The ordinary bat that flies around at night,

ground, all it can do is shuffle about

can throw itself into the air. Then, at once,
it takes off like a flash.

Hi James, boydo we have bats. Milloins os them. In the evening you can sit and watch the bats take flight from the Carlsbad Caverns National Park.
It is a sight to behold.
