A Night at the Museum- Wenatchee Home Inspector On the Road

I love Museums and what is really neat is that my son seems to like them more and more (in smaller doses than I).

I am on my yearly journey to the mid-west to visit my Wife's family. On the way we stopped in Bozeman MT.
Now I have been to Bozeman many times hiking and fishing. I love the area there. I have looked longingly at the Museum of the Rockies sign many, many times but just never hit the town when I had time to get over to the Museum. Well this year I finally made it.

At the Museum they have on display many specimens from the Late Cretaceous period. They have some beautiful casts from dig sites in Montana and the Dakotas as well as local history. They also had a great exhibit on frogs.

Donald-I don't know how many times I have been on drives and past museums that perked my interest but never stopped, always said maybe next time. Good job I'm sure your son will never forget it!

Donald, it's certainly been in my mind. I'd love to see the wide open spaces, and especially Glacier Park.

Do that. I can give you many things to do and places to see. If you have never been to Yellowstone and The Tetons you may want to put them on the list as you head to Glacier. Montana is a big state and there is many places to see there.

I understand. It hs been years since I have been out in your neck of the woods. I will have to venture back out there some time. I know there are tons of places to see there also.

Yeah, Donald, that's the challenge! There are so many places to see in just North Carolina and Virginia (Cape Hatteras, Wilmington, Chimney Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville, etc.) that it's hard to go past them to others!

That is so true. I have the same thing in Washington. We have the San Juan Islands, the Rain forest, Mount Rainer, Mt St Helens and so much more. I have spent a lot of time traveling and hiking my own state and there are still places I have not been to.
