New Virginia Disclosure form required as of July 1, 2011
Hey everyone, it's that time of year again! Effective July 1, 2011 you MUST have your sellers provide a NEW Residential Property Disclosure Statement to any prospective purchasers. Properties under contract prior to July 1, 2011 do not need to re-disclose but contracts RATIFIED after July 1, 2011 must be accompanied by the new form or the Purchaser will have a right to void the contract. The 2011 form is much shorter, and provides buyer's a link to a list of items that the Seller makes no representations or warranties about. Both forms can be accessed via this link.
