What a beautiful day we had today! Crisp and cool, yet, if you were in the sun, it was a perfect day. My Daugher and Daughter-in-Law joined me on our walk. It started a bit after ten this morning. It was held at Northwest Park in Manchester. The route was marked with small signs that had information about saving babies and all the fine things that the March of Dimes does for children and their families. We were given shirts, water, bread, candy, coffee, and donut holes (from Dunkin Donuts, yummy!). There was a DJ from the River radio station, too. We talked with some old friends and made a few new ones. Two dogs attended, a black lab (not my Jack)and a cross dalmatian/beagle. They seemed to love walking, too. After the walk, they served hot soup, bread from a local bakery (Harvest Bread Co) and pizza. We didn't stay, too much to do today. After running my errands, I came home and walked Jack in our neighborhood. He would have loved the event! Maybe, next time. I haven't ventured out to the group walks yet with him.
It's a Good Life!
