One of the most delightful places we have ever lived and worked is Tomball Texas. It is the Epitomy of a Hometown with a Heart. It has been known for many decades as “the Hometown with a Heart.” Located about 28 miles from the center of Downtown Houston, it was originally a Railroad town. Settled by hardworking pioneers, it still maintains much of the beauty and nostalgic history from years gone by. Modern conveniences are available. Whatever you may need can be found either in town or just a few miles away in one of the surrounding towns or shopping areas like Willowbrook Mall down at FM 1960 and SH 249, or over in The Woodlands. Because we truly love this quaint piece of America, we decided to furnish folks with a heartfelt pictoral guide in ABC style. Are you ready to embark on your tour? Here we go!

A Is for the Airport. David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport to be exact, is located at Stuebner Airline and FM 2920.  There are accomodations for airtoys from small jet planes to helicopters. You will see planes, hangars, plane related businesses of all kinds, landing strips, flight schools, fueling stations and food for pilots and passengers. All this in a picture perfect setting complete with lakes and ducks.  Fly in today to our Full Service Airport complete with FAA Control Tower.

B Is for Baseball. It has been called the all American sport. Tomball is very youth oriented and has its own sports complex located right in the center of town! Several fields for the little league with sports seating and concession areas.

C Is for the Christian values the area was founded on. Churches of many denominations can be found all over the community. Some of the churches are literally hundreds of years old. Some are even still in regular use. We drove all around and are showing you just a few of our favorite sights.

D Is for delightful dining. Just think of your favorite American food. There is bound to be a cafe or restaurant that serves it. Just a few are: Ccs, Goodsons, The Nook, Mels, Los Pinos. Good food prepared with skill and care by good folks. Just like the good olde days!

E Is for educational opportunities. As we stated before, Tomball takes its youth seriously. The schools are growing at great rates. Our experience with the teachers and admin staffs was exemplary. My children never had time to get into trouble. The extra curricular activities kept them busy, and kept us striving to do our best. Since the days my kids were in school, the facilities have increased in size and even more activities have been added. Photos include shots of the aquatic center, One of the High Schools, a Jr. high, and more!
