Get Footloose at Red White & Blue Ash Sunday July 3 2011

Are you ready for the biggest FREE July 4th weekend bash in the area?  Rozzi's fireworks beginning at 10 p.m. July 3rd?  Big blasts and lots of color!  Head to Red White & Blue Ash Sunday July 3rd!

Now of course you're not going to want to wait into 10 p.m. to get there!  One, you just might have a FEW people joining you!  Two, there's food to be had from a number of Blue Ash businesses!  Three, there's THREE musical acts!  Exile performs at 2:30 p.m., Blue Sky Riders performs at 5 p.m., and Kenny Loggins performs at 8:15 p.m.  So you can get Footloose in The Danger Zone and get your '80s music fix!

The event will be held in the parking lots of the corporate office park on the northwest corner of Reed Hartman Highway and Glendale Milford Rd (just across from the Blue Ash airport).  That said, you might be better off catching one of the many free shuttles to and from the event starting at 4 p.m. and running through midnight.  Among the pick up points are:  Blue Ash Municipal Center (4343 Cooper Rd), the former site of Bally's (Kenwood & Cornell), Raymond Walters College (9555 Plainfield Rd).  There are other pick up points, so check the official Red White & Blue Ash event site for further details.

As far as event rules, just a few things you need to know:  No PERSONAL fireworks, NO coolers, NO glass containers, NO alcohol (this is a FAMILY event).  And no pirating the performers, so no video, pictures or audio recording.  Easily a fair trade for the day's FREE entertainment!

So if you want to catch some tunes & watch some fireworks, the Red White & Blue Ash Celebration is the place to be Sunday!  And for those that can't wait, here's a sample of last year's fireworks!

I'm hoping to see a large number of local blog posts for the events celebrating the 4th.  AR is a great way to get the word out about these local events.

Liz and Bill - you can take the girl out of the 80's but you can't take the 80's out of the girl! Loved it and this sounds like my perfect Forth of July Celebration - fireworks, food and eighty's music! If I only lived closer!

Lenn, Definitely!  I've noticed a few more this week on AR, and we've got another local event or two with fireworks yet to go.  I doubt there will be few more searched terms this week than "July 4th fireworks"

Kristine, 80s rock is still my favorite after all this time!  And Top Gun, easily one of my favorite movies from the time!  Sounds like you might need a road trip!  Bill

Bliz sounds like a great event and I was just thinking that Tish would love the 80's take on the music.  Heck, I'd love it too!  There's a whole slew of events in my neck of the woods to choose from as well.

Good Morning, Bliz, Sounds like a Party this weekend to me.  I wish I could be there to see the fireworks, since we won't be having any fireworks in San Antonio this year due to the drought.

Jerry, Blue Ash does pretty well in the party category several times a year!  Nice neighborhood, and high corporate presence, so they collect 1.25% of my pay check without me having the right to vote about it since I'm not a Blue Ash resident....no, I'm not resentful of taxation without representation....not one bit! :)  Bill
