The past two weekends was the Parade of Homes in LaPorte County. I was only able to hit a few of them. I was happy to see the quality of new construction out there, but I thought a few of the prices were out of line considering what was being offered. I could be wrong, but that is not what this blog is about.
Last year, I was horribly disapointed in the lack of open houses along the "parade" route. I mean I saw hundreds of people walk by two homes that were for sale and they were not open for the public to see. If I were the owner of those homes I would have been calling and pitching a fit. That is some serious free advertising going on and the realtor completely dropped the ball.
Not this year though. I was quite pleased to see a couple "open houses" along the route. I had to go into one of them, the other was closed by the time I got there. I am glad I did I got to meet a Realtor that I had been trying to meet for a couple of weeks and she even brought uo my Mortgage Meltdown seminar that I am putting on in a couple of weeks.
So, I would like to see more people take advantage of those opportunities. If I were a Realtor, I would be.
I am going to come up with a list of those opportunities in the weeks to come that I see that people do not take advantage of. I know this weekend, I drove by a FSBO and the guy was out working in his yard and I gave him my 30 second elevator FSBO speach. Now, I have one of my FSBO signs in his yard.
Work, Look and you will have grat opps out there.

Great advice Dave!!! These are total no brainers!!! The only problem is that some realtors have no brains! Keep up the good work!
