Guilty Pleasures - I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

We all have a few guilty pleasures, don’t we?  Well, I’ve been thinking about a few of my own indulgences of late.

Guilty Pleasures

Breaking BadBreaking Bad (Past Season Catch Up) - Now on Season 3!
(It’s hard to feel to good about rooting for a “Meth Cooker” and his little partner, “The Pusher.”

I actually enjoy rap music and have quite a few songs on my iPod.
(I know, much of it's sexist and filled with explicit lyrics - sorry, I still like it!)

Sitting in the sun for about an hour, twice so Sitting in the Sunfar in June, without SPF 30 on my face.

( I know, it’s insanely stupid on a variety of levels. )

                              Drinking a little wine EVERYDAY!
Wine Everyday!( Yes, it’s red, and even though it might be just one glass - it’s still drinking EVERYDAY)

When my friend who loves to “talk, talk, talk” calls - I let it go to voice mail.
( I do eventually call her back )

Staying in comfy clothes

Staying in comfy home clothes (all day) when I don’t have any appointments.
( Praying, of course, I won’t have to answer the door.)

Having a square ( or two) of dark chocolate every night after dinner.
(Actually, I don’t feel too guilty about this one.)

Writing a silly or fun post in Active Rain and not caring about points or SEO.
(Pretty reckless attitude for a newbie) Here's a few you might have missed.

I'm Somebody Now -Thanks Active Rain

You can leave your hat on!

Ode to Friday

Guilty pleasures - I'll show you mine, if you show me yours.

And now it’s your turn to share.  Anyone? Anyone?

My guilty pleasure is having a small cup of butter pecan ice cream on a hot day - since I am trying to lose weight to fit into my dress I bought for my son's wedding (August).

It takes a lot to hit my guilt button.  Wine and Chocolate are two of the 4 basic food groups.  Staying home in my nightgown is the best reason I can think of for working from home.

So, what does it take to actually be a "guilty pleasure"?  Well..... TV generally. How about Fashion Police.  I can't believe Joan Rivers makes me giggle.  I can't believe I watch that show.  But, I do.  In fact, I have the DVR set up to grab new episodes.  Ditto The Closer.  I love Brenda.  She understands about wine and chocolate, bless her.....

Debb,  Love it.  Definitely Starbucks.  A venti vanilla latte with whip.  Filled with flavor and calories.  Not often, it's a treat.  Also, good coffee beans for home.  We are the famous coffee house, next to Starbucks of course.

Judith - love your guilty pleasures. And Brenda (The Closer) is one of my favoriate TV Characters too...she does get the wine/chocolate thing!  Thanks so much for your comments.

Kathleen - my favorite nurse turned Realtor, yes a Starbucks sweet drink is a wonderful treat (not often)!  Since we (my husband and I) love good coffee, we share that too. Have to have good and fresh coffee beans at home.

Debb, what a great list of guilty pleasures!    I love red wine too, but in the HOT summer, drinks with ICE sounds better.    I love to watch the Bachlorette on Monday nights!     I know, dumb dumb, but being single I find it humorous!

I have a few.  Dark Chocolate (but at 25 calories a square I call that a healthy snack).  Chardonnay.  Top Shelf Margaritas.  Watching Survivor.  Those are just for starters.  :o)

What an absolutely hilarious post.  I have two (I don't count the one glass of red wine 4 or 5 times per week as a guilty pleasure - I consider it hazard pay for my job).  I have a daughter in NYC that is engaged and she got me hooked on The Bachelor/Bachelorette.  As someone who watches NO OTHER TV, I find that to be pretty stupid every time I watch vampid females and worthless guys, but watch it, I do :)  And I haven't done this in a while, but when I really get overwhelmed with life - real estate and the things that go bump in the night, I will grab a Julie Garwood or Elizabeth Lowell romance novel and escape for a while.  (and I must say, I love Tim's comment)

Ann, I knew I liked your style...just for starters eh?  Yeah, that's why I don't feel too guilty about the dark chocolate either - it really is more of a "healthy" snack!

Mimi-Thanks for coming by and subscribing too, I appreciate you and am a fan of your blog and commenting style. Joan Cox is also a Bachelorette fan - people keep telling me both the Bachelor/Bachelorette are good mindless fun.

And oh yes, those occasional romance novels...:) :) :)
