Breckenridge Colorado is a beautiful mountain town to spend 4th of July with family and friends. The historic mile long Main Street with the back drop of the Breckenridge Ski Area makes for postcard perfect pictures and memories that will last a lifetime.
Here is the line up of events in Breckenridge Colorado for the fourth of July weekend:
July 2, 2011 -
10am-3pm -- Arts Distric Grand Celebration, at the corner of Ridge Street and Washington Avenue you can view the open studios, artist demonstrations and even make then take your art projects for kids. There will even be music, dancing and more.
10am-5pm -- 28th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival, located at Main Street Station there are more than 80 artists scheduled to showcase their fine works of art for you to admire or purchase.
7:30pm -- National Reperatory Orchestra Concert "Music of Hollywood", located at the Riverwalk Center just off of Main Street Breckenridge. Enjoy an evening of Hollywood with music from Rocky, Jaws, Psycho, Pirates of Carribean and more. 970.547.3100 for tickets.
July 3, 2011 -
10am-5pm -- 28th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival, located at Main Street Station there are more than 80 artists scheduled to showcase their fine works of art for you to admire or purchase.
July 4, 2011 -
7am -- Independence Day 10k Trail Run, this is a scenic trail running race that will showcase some of the best views of Breckenridge, you will finish just in time to watch the Main Street Parade. For information call 970.547.1734.
9am -- Fourth of July Garden Party hosted by the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance and located at the Barney Ford Museum. Enjoy the Breckenridge Fourth of July Parade from the best view in town. Cost is $15/$40/$75 and reservations are required, 970.453.9767.
9am -- Breckenridge Fourth of July Parade down Main Street Breckenridge.
10am-5pm -- 28th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival, located at Main Street Station there are more than 80 artists scheduled to showcase their fine works of art for you to admire or purchase.
12:30-2:30pm -- Kids' Water Fight with the Red, White & Blue Fire Department. Kids can enjoy an old time water fight on Main Street complete with fire fighter gear. Free for kids to participate.
12:30-3pm -- Viper 'Show and Shine' on Main Street where you can view these amazing cars in person.
2pm -- FREE Concert by Rusted Root at the Riverwalk Center.
8:30pm -- National Repertory Orchestra 4th of July Patriotic Concert at the Riverwalk Center. Tickets are required for indoor seating, lawn seating is FREE. Seating is available at the box office, no phone orders will be taken.
9:30pm -- Fireworks (weather permitting), the best view is from anywhere in Downtown Breckenridge.
