Long Island 4th Of July Fireworks Celebrations

The fourth of July celebrations for 2011 are here and below are some of the places that you can view Grucci fireworks display on Long Island.

Once again this year, for the second year in a row,  safety concerns have caused the July 4th fireworks show at Jones Beach to be cancelled. The once very popular attraction had been held annually for 15 years before officials at the Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation said there were not enough trained park police officers to safely hold the display.  

Try and arrive early for the best viewings!  

Saturday, July 2nd 
TD Bank Celebrates America   
Place: Eisenhower Park, Uniondale, NY
Details: TICKETS REQUIRED!
Visit any TD Bank for free tickets.

Sunday, July 3rd   
Place: Great South Bay, SW Fire Island, Long Island, NY
Details: The best viewing would be from your own boat. On land, good viewing would be from most of the Fire Island bay fronts. 

Monday, July 4th
Go 4th on the Bay  
Place: Great South Bay, Bay Shore
Long Island, NY
Website: www.captreefleet.com
Details: This year's Go 4th on the Bay fireworks is hosted by the Town of Islip at the Bay Shore Marina.
This will be the Gruccis flagship fireworks program for all of Suffolk County which will be fired from a barge directly of the marina.

This is great information for the residents in your area. Sorry to hear about the closing of fireworks at Jones Beach. Safety comes first! If they could not have enough help they only had one recourse:(

Jill, We used to go to Jones Beach every year for the the 4th of July fireworks, but at least we have other options ~ Have a great holiday!

Dorie, Jones Beach was a crowd pleaser every year, but maybe our list will help others find another great site to watch the celebration ~ Enjoy the holiday!

David, Grucci is well-known for their spectacular fireworks display so at least we have some other choices ~ Happy 4th to you too!
