What's Happening Out & About Rockwall County - Celebrate July 4th Texas Style in Rockwall County! All week and weekend are packed with lots of "what to do" happenings, so just get out and about Rockwall County, have a blast, watch fireworks, enjoy parades, games & contests, music, and plain good eating opportunities. Enjoy lots of FREE events!
Royse City Fourth Fest Celebration! Fireworks in Royse City - July 1st - 6:30 PM - Royse City High School Football Stadium! WOW - lots to do and the event is FREE! A full evening of fun is planned with plenty of games and contests. Watch a Care Flight landing and view military vehicles on display. There will be lots of good food available to purchase, so come hungry. It wouldn't be a Texas celebration without music - enjoy the "Dirt Road Gypsies". The Fireworks Display will start at 9:15 PM.
Rockwall July 4th Parade - This downtown square will be a happening place - Saturday, July 2 - 11:00 AM. Mayor, David Sweet, will be on hand to welcome everyone. There will be lots of action with Parade Awards announced and the Farmer's Market will be open with tons of great fresh stuff. How long has it been since you participated in an old fashioned Watermelon Eating Contest and Seed Spitting Contest? Come on down to the square and be sure to save time to visit local shops and restaurants. The downtown square for Texas' smallest county, Rockwall is the place to be on July 2 - get out & about taking part in the local hometown USA celebration.
Concert By the Lake - Presents "Jerry Diaz & Hanna's Reef" - Thursday, June 30 - 7:30 PM - This will be a special invitation to Margaritaville, Lake Ray Hubbard style at The Harbor. Who doesn't like a great Jimmy Buffett Tribute such as provided by Hanna's Reef - enjoy great Texas Beach Music. As always, a great FREE event and you can bring your own blanket or chairs, cooler & treats....or you can find a good spot on one of the restaurant patios. An evening of music on the waterfront of Lake Ray Hubbard is a splendid way to kick things off for a memorable July 4th weekend.
Rockwall Fireworks Show at Harry Myers Park - This is scheduled for July 4 - at dusk! Get out & about Rockwall and find a great spot to watch this special show. Many residents plan on watching from their own backyards. This fireworks display will be synchronized to music - so plan to be WOWED!
Freedom Fest & Boat Show @ The Harbor - Saturday & Sunday, July 2 & 3 - 12:00 - 5 PM - Get out & about, join the fun, enjoy the live music, visit the booths, and let the kids enjoy special activities. Did we say, "It's A Boat Show!!!"
Fireworks Show at The Harbor - Friday, July 1 - There is nothing to compare with seeing a first class fireworks display over the beautiful sparkling waters of Lake Ray Hubbard. This has got to be one of the best "what to do" things on the list for getting out & about in Rockwall County. Great way to kick off the 4th celebration! Enjoy strolling along the Boardwalk at The Harbor, listening to music, and dropping by one of the many restaurant and bar patios.
Heath Annual July 4th Parade - Monday, July 4 - 9:00 AM - This Parade is a true example of American life in small town USA - the best! Neighbors, friends, and families look forward to this one every year. HEATH PARADE - see all the details and plan on getting out & about in Heath - you will enjoy this one! Followed by Popsicles in the Park. Staging for the parade will be at 8:00 AM with judging and awards scheduled at 8:30 AM. The parade will start promptly at 9:00 AM at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary School at 330 Laurence Drive. Veterans from any branch of the U. S. Military are invited to ride in the parade on the Veterans Float. Active members of the U. S. Military are also invited to participate
Rockwall County Parks- There are many beautiful and conveniently located parks in the towns around Lake Ray Hubbard. For those desiring a more relaxed lazy sort of way to spend a few hours of this celebration weekend, you should check out one of these great hometown parks.
