Sundeleaf Plaza, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Lake Oswego, Oregon 6/29/11

Ok..so I'm going to give this one to BOTH Doug & John as they both were correct. It is right there by the Lakeshore Inn and John correctly named it. Nice going guys!! Thanks for playing!

Unlike Joni Mitchells' song Yellow Taxi, instead of paving paradise and putting in a parking lot,Lake Oswego did the opposite. For a while I used to park in this "parking lot" when I would head over to the  Oswego Lake House Restaurant, but now in it's place is a wonderful plaza for public use right on the lake. This park features many benches, public rest rooms, and a huge fireplace is still being completed.

Named after a prominent local architect Richard Sundeleaf, this plaza is a great addition to the downtown Lake Oswego area.

Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Lake in Lake Oswego, Oregon

Ok..better late than never right! I was having issues uploading my pictures onto my post all day. No one else seemed to have this problem..so figured it a "me" issue.  Thanks Bob for figuring out it was something to do with my picture.

Congrats to Gayle Rich-Boxman for correctly guessing last weeks Where is it Wednesday's post.

"Man Eating Dog Food" Sculpture outside of World Class Wines, answer to Where is it Wednesday....somewhere in Lake Oswego, Oregon 6/22/11

Each week I'll be posting a new picture on Wednesday morning. The title of the blog will have the City where the picture is taken and I'll post the answer Wednesday evening...not only here on my blog, but on facebook business page (please click like and add yourself there) as well as tweetin it on my Twitter page as well.

Do you know where it is? Care to guess? Comments are welcome! I'll post the answer tonight.

Hint: I used to park my car here when it was a parking lot. The below picture shows how it looked before.

Hi Doug, Aaah..looks like someone must have recently been here as well. Did you go to the Farmer's Market and the Art Festival? This is the new park next to the Lakeshore Inn.

Hi John, actually..you're right on time for this one. I didn't put the picture up until around 5PM yesterday..and was volunteering at the local Farmer's Market in West Linn until late, so finally getting to the answer this morning. You are indeed correct..it is Sundeleaf Plaza.

Cindy,

I couldn't come by yesterday because we were closing on 1.6 mil property. Another REALTOR in my office and I were doing a joint venture of sorts on this foreclosed property and we sold it to a cash buyer from Australia. WooHoo! Its been quite a ride!

Cindy,

I would feel very comfortable and proud of a town like that! Your photos show that it's a great place to live and you did a great localism post. The Park has a lot to offer and I'm sure it's an exciting place to visit any time of the year.

I just love your creativity!

Hi Cindy!  Yes I did go to the Farmers Market and the Art Festival and had a great time.  I have to say the park turned out very well.  I like the before and after pics.  I also want to give you props for framing the pictures; they look great.

The sun is out and it's Friday before the July 4th weekend.......Enjoy everyone and be safe!
