Just-A-Mere Lane - Intriguing Name - in Dade City-Florida

For years, Craig and I have driven past Just-A-Mere Lane in Dade City-Florida when we are to-ing and fro-ing to just about anywhere east of where we live. That’s not hard because we live as far west on the west coast of Florida as can be.


We were always intrigued by the name and kept saying “Isn’t that cute, we should see where it goes.”

So, one rainy day on our way home from DisneyWorld in Orlando, we decided to actually stop in Dade City and see what Just-A-Mere Lane was all about.

Just-A-Mere Lane is a lovely area of beautiful homes with no real roads; just paved lanes that wind around and are shaded by lots of beautiful trees.
Just wide enough for one car to drive along.

I love a good adventure!  While recently visiting family in Texas (and Active Rain member Teral McDowell) we took a drive down a street with mature trees and landscaped and large sprawling homes and ranches.  It was lovely.  It's so much fun to take a few minutes and just enjoy!  :-)

Patricia - I love to take the odd, little roads. Sometimes to my regret but most times it turns out great.

Ted - I'm not sure what that meant "Just-a-Mere Listings" but I'm sure it was a funny :)

Sandy - we always have a wonderful time at Disney. What's not to enjoy?

Barbara - Yes, I am glad. It was so lovely.

Donna - that sounds like a fun drive too. I guess we are into the "Sunday drives" kind of thing on any old day at all.

Toni - what lovely photos and what a nice adventure and diversion.  Love the name and love the place.  I too always wished I could have a tree house while I was growing up, but alas, we lived in the city and it was only a dream.

Cute name for an intriguing place!  I love Spanish Moss.  We don't have it here in Sacramento.  The closest to it I can get is in the Monterey Penninsula - about 140 miles or so!  Neat photos, Toni!

Toni, it's funny how you can pass something like that for a long time never knowing what lies beyond and then the adventurer takes over in you.  I've done this very same thing and was almost always pleasantly surprised or at the very least satisfied my curiosity.

Toni--Great photos, Toni.  Where in Florida is Dade City?  Guess I could get up & find the atlas.  I know it somewhere between Orlando & west coast of Florida. (New Port Richey)

Dade City is about 40 miles east of New Port Richey-past 75. Maybe we can do a meet up in November!

Toni, each of your photo sure are mighty fine looking! That there sure is a mighty cool name for Lane. I really like that took the street around the tree, and did not take the tree down, it sure does give the Lane character. Some real work went to building that there tree house.
