Google offers a pretty darn good way to optimize yourself and your web sites and blogs the easy and cheap way... for absolutely nothing else than a couple of hours of your time... how can you beat that?!... to make the most of it should be done directly by you or a reliable and professional SEO...
1. Google Profiles... create a free Google account and then sign up for Google Profiles... make sure that you enter in each field something relevant about who you are, what you do, where you do it and why... make sure that you install links throughout your message pointing to your blog or web site... the more information you provide about yourself and your services the better the results...
2. Google Places... once you created your Google Profile sign up for a free Googple Places account and list your business with back links to your sites... follow the instructions to the "t" and make sure that you are as descriptive as possible...
3. Google Maps... once you created your Google Profile & Places pages you should also stick your business location on Google Maps by opening a free account... again follow the instructions and make the most of your verbiage and links to your sites...
Please be aware that you will be required to interact with Google via phone or postcards... they will provide you with validation codes to ensure only legit businesses are entered...
If you need help because you simply do not have the time to do it hire a good SEO expert... however you'll have to be on hand via phone to get the validation codes to your SEO expert once the profiles are ready for publication... once these profiles are up you'll see a gradual improvement of your traffic rankings over the next couple of months...
