Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach..Add Water, Sand and Sun = ActiveRain Party Time!!

scratching headWhere would I go if I were planning an ActiveRain "Bring It On" Party?

I wouldn't have to think twice... Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach!

Now Atlantic Avenue isn't a building or hotel conference center... it's more a state of mind.  After all, Delray Beach, Florida is known as the Village by the Sea.

And, since ActiveRain is like one big Village, it's a perfect fit.  Another reason to celebrate here...  Delray Beach will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year on October 9!

To get the party going, everyone heads to the beach, where Atlantic Avenue meets Atlantic Ocean!   Follow me!

Now if you're coming here from outside the immediate area, while I'd love to have you stay with me.... not going to happen.  But how about the Delray Beach Marriott Hotel located at Atlantice Avenue and A1A!  With over 14,000 square feet of total meeting space and a maximum seating capacity of over 1300 in the largest room... I think they can handle it.  And you're only steps away from the beach!

Delray Beach
The Party Begins here... unwind and catch some rays on Delray Beach!

There's kayaking, surfing, para-sailing, beach volleyball, snorkeling, diving, shopping and just plain relaxing available.

Next on the agenda.... the party heads to Atlantic Avenue!

Atlantic Avenue has become the hottest area for night life, where couples can stroll, dine in unique restaurants, and shop in boutiques you'll find only in Delray Beach.  The city has been known to block off the street for the Delray Affair, holiday parades and Art & Jazz on the Avenue.... so why not for ActiveRain!

Delray Beach

So... Come on Down ActiveRain

I Know You Can Stand the Heat!!!!

Ok...a I missing some kind of contest?  There seems to be an awful lot of posts going up on where to throw the next AR Party :)!  Anyway, I must say, the Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach looks like a terrific place to throw a party!

Barbara- maybe we could actually get them to have one here!  You'd better bring the Texas contingent.

Marco- good for you... I'll find the group and join!  Happy 4th to you too.

Rob- only have 1 air mattress available, Rob!  Bristol's not that far!

Gary-well it's not South Beach but I love it.  You'd only be a few hours away.

Brenda- sort of a contest... here's the link.

Dorie- Yea!!!! everyone from Texas should come!!!  I'd do my "famous" Tx brisket and fajitas.

Linda- wouldn't that be so much fun... what would be even better would be able to block off part of the street.LOL

Sharon- well it was sort of... but no points. Here's the link.  You could get a coffee tumbler. I'm serious... I know you're LYAO now but go there.

I am lmao...it's too late to enter (I've had a very long day with J & Z, and took Z with me to the grocery store.  I'll be retiring very early, not staying up to midnight to win a mug) so I'll just have to support you as the winner!!

Sharon- you're too funny.  I'm usually up til midnight reading or commenting but I may have to turn in early as well.  My mind is at a loss for a blog topic for tomorrow so I may just go to sleep and dream of one.

Hi Kathy, sorry I missed your winning post, I thought I caught most of them and went through and congratulated as many as i could find.  But your one of my favs here in the rain, sorry I missed it the other day.  I let a few people know they won before they even knew they won.  FYI, i won a tumbler too, haven't received it yet, but sure it's coming.  congrats again.

Kathy, I seemed to have missed the whole hyper-local party posts but came by yours via Bob's blog...  Wow, this is great and how fun would it be to 'partee' at Delray Beach!  Love the ride via video!

John- Oh man... I've been so bad... I haven't been as kind as you've been and didn't go to each post to congratulate them.  But, thank you... and congratulations for winning your tumbler as well!

Pamela- Glad you liked it... unfortunately it was done on a cloudy day.  It was a fun "challenge" to do and I love my tumbler!
