Cannon Art Gallery in Carlsbad - June July 2011 ExhibitThe latest William D. Cannon art gallery exhibit, "On Your Own Time," opened June 9 and runs through July 1 in Carlsbad.

"On Your Own Time" is an exhibition of art works by employees of the City of Carlsbad and their families, some of whom are professional artists. This is always a popular show, with a wonderful diversity and caliber of work from children to seniors in a broad range of mediums.

Prizes are awarded in several categories, which take the exhibit to a different level. And of course the involvement of families, friends and neighbors adds to the interest in this particular show. 

Time is running out, so if you have not been able to get to the Cannon Art Gallery in Carlsbad to see "On Your Own Time," I recommend you do so.

These showa are great Jeff..I went to one recently and just had the sunflower lithograph framed yesterday...I was going to give it to a client who refers many clients to me...but I really like it so I'm not sure..what a great way to pick up great local art..I'm a big supporter of local artistry too..thanks

I LOVE this gallery. We are SOOO fortunate to have a city owned gallery that offers such stellar shows, including national and international traveling exhibitions. The variety of shows is most impressive, and this is just one great example.
