Gotta love Lake Tahoe...  I was headed down to Tahoe City which is on the North shore of Lake Tahoe.  The road follows the Truckee River up to the lake where the dam is located.  Well, not really a dam, but a out-take of the lake that coan control the amount of water leaving the lake at any particular time.

So I saw a cut out on the side of the road and pulled over.  My son Ryan and I trekked through the brush and found the most perfect place to throw rocks!

Truckee River

The water was sooooo cold obviously...  As the lake is snow runoff, and there is still snow on the ground in the shadows...  The river is a major rafting river for those that just want a lazy ride...

Me and my son

It seemed that our super-secret place was not so secret as we walked up the river and ran into some newlyweds from Minnasoooooota.  Or something like that, eh?  They had us take a picture of them, so I made them take one of me and my son.

Hope your Wednesday rocks!

Such a beautiful place, and you two are sooo cute!!! I think you were leaning more towards the Canadian accent... But..... If you would have left out the "eh" you would have nailed it... :) I can do accents... I can do southern, like Georgia, Alabama, I can do Cajun, English, Irish, Austrailian, Russian, French, naturally I can do the midwestern accent, also the Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Minnesota accent.... I haven't exactly mastered the New Yorker/Jersey accent.. Californians don't really have an accent unless I start talking like a surfer.. But bra, I would rather not.. :)

Chris - I love spots like that.  Especially for tossing rocks.  I remember sitting in a spot like a few years back.  As I sat on a large rock, and skipped a few rocks across the water, I noted that even with the best of hand, all rocks - like man, immediately sank to the bottom:-)

I love seeing photos from other places. These photos make me nostalgic for the days I romped with my son and daughter in the mountains of the Colorado Springs, Divide, CO area. They survived my parenting and are now off to their own lives. It happens sooner than you could imagine.
