New Home Builders - Needs Realtors on the Seller Side and the Buyer Side

By
Real Estate Agent with Exit Premier Realty

Hello Team,

I was recently speaking to a mortgage rep located in Baltimore and she mentioned to me that now new home builders will need realtors to represent on both sides - seller and buyer.  Which I would assume that most of those sales reps are licensed agents? At least I would hope so..

Has anyone else had feedback about this? Your experience and thoughts?

From my experience, builders have found it cheaper to have a in-house staff.  Paying realtors a small salary and offering incentives for each home they sell.  But the realtor is under contract with the builder/company to only represent that subdivision.

Hope this helps.

Hey Donna. I haven't heard anything about that. But thanks for letting me know. But like MarQuis said, the realtor is under contract with the builder/company to only represent that subdivision. Only bad thing is you have to like surrender your real estate license. Great post.
