Help For The Old Garbage Disposal

By
Real Estate Agent with Classic Realty Realtor

I don't know about other Real Estate Agents, but the Home Inspection for many of my clients seems to almost always teach me a thing or two about Home Maintenance. For example, one inspector has told me that Ice Cubes and Lemons do wonders for sharpening the blades and helping to prevent unwanted odors from surfacing. I have tried it and it worked! Of course it needs to be done on a regular basis.

I've also heard about Caulking, the kind of Caulking to use. I've listened and learned about the Roof, the need in some areas for de-humidifiers and more.

Today, I want to go back to the Garbage Disposal for just a minute. Specifically, I want to take you to a list of rules to live by so that you keep your Disposal and Plumbing in Tip Top Shape. It will only take you 60 seconds to read and perhaps save you some Major Problems.

I learned everything I needed to know about garbage disposals when ours conked out and my wife picked up an off-brand at Lowe's. For the next few years, until it finally also quit, we spent half our lives unclogging plugged drains. Had to keep a plunger under sink lol

So, all I needed to know is BUY AN IN-SINK-A-RATOR ;)

Thanks David, I have used the ice and lemon trick and it works very well. As you said you always learn something new.
