Happy Fourth of July!
Celebrate and honor this day with us in Fort Collins, CO. With a lot of fun field activities for the whole family. Fourth of July is a very important day in the history and in the freedom of our Country. We are having all the democracy we have right now because of the People who sacrificed to fight and stand for our FREEDOM. This is an unforgettable day in America!
Here are some of the lined up activities in the City on July 4, 2011 :
- Start the Celebration with Firekracker 5k - a Run for the whole family, the run includes a FREE Kids’ Fun Run, a fast flat course, great post-race refreshments, raffle prizes and organic cotton T-shirts. Enjoy the activity that starts at 8:00 AM in City Park. The Kids Fun Run (approximately 400 meters) is free to all kids 12 and under and begins after the 5k near the swimming pool at 9:00 a.m. No registration necessary.
- The 2011 Old Town Sqaure Entertainment from 11 - 6PM. Enjoy live music, A Beer Garden and all Fun Games. Cacth the performances by Bonnie and The Clydes, The Delta Sonics, and the Informants. Mark this wonderful day and Celebrate Outside your HOMES, so bring your Lawn Chairs and Sunscreen Protection and enjoy the Sunshine on the Fourth of July in Fort Collins.
- An Old Fashioned Fourth of July at the Avery House -Another way of Celebrating Fourth of July the Traditional Way. Activity starts at 11:00 am with Presenting Flag and Pledge of Allegiance. Celebrate the old fashioned way at the Avery House, just 3 blocks away from the College Avenue come enjoy this free celebration as part of your Downtown Fort Collins experience!
- FIREWORKS AT THE CITY PARK - The Celebration will not be complete without the FIREWORKS. Begin at dusk and are shot over City Park Lake. The City of Fort Collins will cap off Fourth of July Celebrations with a Spectacular Fireworks Show at 9:35PM. This is FREE and Open to ALL. Live Bands will start at 6:00PM wth Fierce Bad Rabbit and The Fort Collins Symphony!
