Gettysburg is Worthy, Gettysburg is Worthy

I actually think this particular challenge is interesting.  What building, place, would be worthy of hosting the 5th anniversary of Active Rain. To start things off with no slight intended to the people of Gettysburg, I think a company such as Activerain might be a bit confusing to Gettysburg Pa. Activerain builds, thrives,and exists on the principal of Internet technology, and while Gettysburg is alot of things, technology forward is not a label one could apply.

So lets put Gettysburg where it is most comfortable, in the realm of history. I mean really, when one thinks of Gettysburg Pa besides Gettysburg Gerry the second thing that comes to mind has got to be the Gettysburg Military Park. History abounds here, it is the foundation for our business community, and the reason for people coming here. It is what we build on and off of.

So if ActiveRain were to have it's 5 year anniversary here in Gettysburg Pa where would I recommend the venue be? My first and most serious thought would be my home of course, well think about it, ActiveRain is my family and where else would I want my family to stay when visiting Gettysburg Pa but with Gettysburg Gerry at his domicile. While that idea would be nice, it would be a completely inadequate venue for the fine people of ActiveRain.

So my thoughts move to reality, and where would a wonderful, appropriate establishment be found? I would have to say that the Gettysburg Hotel would be a wonderful place to show off what the boro of Gettysburg really has to offer. Beyond being the only place in the small boro of Gettysburg that offers a large well equipped conference facility, it is also a fine hotel as well as being perfectly placed in the heart of the historic boro of Gettysburg. Right in the hotel itself is  McClellans Pub with a bar that was imported from England itself. It is also within walking distance of  some of the best that Gettysburg restaurants have to offer. The Blue Parrot, Mama Ventura's, Thai Place IV, as well as my favorite Tiptons Grill, not to mention an additional array eclectic menu choices.

Gettysburg Pa is a historic destination that has recently been exploring it's avant garde side, has been embracing it's modern, hip, step into the future side. If ActiveRain is looking for a place that is placed close to Maryland, Washington, Philly and is a great place to host an event, they couldn't do better than Gettysburg Pa.

I will say this, no other venue has Gettysburg Gerry to host and MC the event. You cant lose with Gettysburg Gerry.
