A Path to Success for Healthy Real Estate Relationships

By
Real Estate Agent with Liberty Homes RS-#62825

We always think in the best interests of our clients. We give them the best of service and accommodate them. We do however have to set personal boundaries so that there are no outside influences getting in the way of the transaction and our relationships with our clients.

What are Healthy Boundaries? It's where one person begins and the other ends. Those that have healthy boundaries have developed their own separate identities. Each person is NOT dependent on another to dictate who they are and also not dependent on others to fill the void inside for their own personal and spiritual growth.

Sound easy doesn't it?  So often we are caught up in trying to please others is when our personal boundaries lack a healthy line to not let others cross over it. We all have the need to be loved but when we allow others to dictate who we are is when the trouble starts.

Promoting healthy relationships in business can be successful when both parties know they are a separate entity from another. It is also the realization that in order for there to be a "healthy relationship" and a smooth closing we all have to work together.

Being part of the solution and not the problem.

Team work is one thing.

Getting lost in another is not an option.

I was just thinking about the importance of establishing boundaries in our service orientated business. It helps to increase the respect among all parties and creates smoother transactions when those boundaries are clearly established.

Hi Sally, I think it's great to have established boundaries in any business relationship. Having a smooth closing is highly desirable for both parties too.

Sally, I think this concept has been easier for me to grasp with age.  Some good things come out of getting older (lol).

Sally, I definitely think that establishing boundaries in our professional relationships is important.  Unfortunately, I had to learn this the hard way.

Sally,

It's very good advice!

But, we all slip once in a while.

Especially when we spend to much time on the job. As they say get a life.

Jackie....yup...you got the concept :)

Yes Lou!

Jerry....for business it's good practice...in personal relationships practiced every day too....

Kristal...it sure is.....when I set boundaries with my children (adults) they respected me more.

Emilia:  People pleasing can create more harm than good....especially when enabling others to continue with bad behavior :)

Aloha Sally,

Good info for anyone, especially the newbies in r.e. Actually as a geezer myself, it took me quite a while to set up my personal boundaries. At one time I used to eat, sleep and drink r.e. After years of that I finally learned how to have a life.

Boundaries are important in business and in personal life.  It's all about balance in just about everything in life.  When that balance is out of whack, problems arise.
